Sky News host Rita Panahi scrutinises Barack Obama’s comments on the Israel-Hamas war, saying he's suggesting everyone’s “complicit to some degree”.
“This is the man who was behind the Iranian deal, the man who enriched and emboldened the Iranian regime that funds Hamas, well he’s got some thoughts,” Ms Panahi said.
The former president said, “what Hamas did was horrific and there’s no justification for it”.
He continued, "and what is also true is that the occupation and what’s happening to Palestinians is unbearable".
Ms Panahi said his remark, ‘what is also true’, is a way of saying “’but’ … without saying ‘but’”.
