Today’s vlog is going to be a bit different than normal. But I think it is important to put out because part of wandering with empathy is knowing how to stay in the country you’re in!

In 2017, Japan implemented an Airbnb Japan New Law that restricted the ability of some people to rent out Airbnbs. Airbnb Japan and realistically most things in Japan are very reliable and you can count on them going the way you’d imagined. My Airbnb nightmare happened in Tokyo but it is not the norm I assure you. I wanted to make this video to explain why this Tokyo Airbnb tour didn’t happen, the new law that Airbnb Japan has implemented and what you need to know as a traveler.

My Airbnb Tokyo experiences have always been good and I would say overall my Airbnb tokyo review is very positive. Airbnb tours can be fun and obviously this one turned out a bit different than I had planned. I was however able to get another great Airbnb tokyo which I posted a few weeks ago.
