Budget Colored Pencil Comparison

A quick comparison of some budget or student grade colored pencils. I compare Crayola, Hilroy, Prismacolor Scholar and Faber Castell Classic colored pencils.

Judges Voted: Faber Castell #1, Followed by Prismacolor Scholar, Crayola, and Hilroy
For Blending: Prismacolor Scholar, then Faber Castell, Crayola, Hilroy
For Layering: Faber Castell, Prismacolor Scholar, Crayola, Hilroy
Durability (Breakage): Tie - Hilroy, Crayola and Faber Castell were all very durable. Prismacolor tips will crumble with pressure.
Quality: Faber Castell, Then a tie between Crayola and Prismacolor. Hilroy seem to have reasonable quality, but I would hate for you to purchase them for this reason.
