Victoria Classic Boat Festival 2013

Every year the City of Victoria British Columbia is host to a Classic Boat Festival. 2013 marks the 36th.year that the Victoria Classic Boat Festival will welcome classic wooden boats of all descriptions from around the world to participate in this three day event. Boaters and boating enthusiast look forward to this festival that happens on the Labour Day weekend each year. Traditionally Friday is the opening and registration day. Saturday has the docks and many of the boats open to the public, along with rowing demonstration and activities in the harbour. Sunday is Sail Past Day that see the classic boats leave the harbour to give a salute the the Honorary Commodore aboard the Festival's Salute Vessel and then on to an afternoon of racing and cruising along the seashore.
