Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery University of Maryland School of Dentistry

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland Dental School has a great history and tradition at UMDS. It is the first School of Dentistry in the world and maintains its legacy in education, research, and clinical practice. The current OMFS department is using innovative technology to maintain that vision, in the fields of cancer, facial deformity/clefts, trauma and temporomandibular joint surgery. Their mission is to develop “citizen surgeons” who will give back to their communities.
