Cry Me a River | Michael Bublé (Cover)

Cry Me a River based on Michael Bublé's version but originally written for Julie London in the 50s.

I got a few dynamic mics and used them for the first time in this video, but I didn't have a pop filter that would fit onto the stand. I was going to wait until I had one to record the video but I remembered that you should be careful to wait on something to get something done.

Obviously there will be exceptions to this, but I believe the mind set
of continuing to move forward is the way to go. Never to sit and wait
on something coming to you. We have to ride that wave of momentum, not
going too fast that you crash out, and not going too slow so that we
can't get moving.

Ultimately all these extra pieces of equipment are nice, but people
forget that it is the core of the song, skill & attitude of the person that shines through no matter if it's recorded with a Neumann mic, a stage mic. Filmed on a phone or a 4K camera. Or recorded with or without a pop filter. Albeit the other examples mentioned could potentially be more impactful than simply not using a pop filter, but the point is that you can always find a way to get it done and get it out there.

I am mostly saying this to myself because I remember what I used to be
like, so apply this to yourself based on your own self awareness. If
you have a tendency to rush through a project or start the recording
process prematurely then you should apply an opposite mind set. Where
you put more time in the learning/writing part of the process to allow
your ideas to fully unfold.

This is just my thoughts and opinions on this. Thanks for reading and
watching the video.
