Times Square: Designing for Crowds in the Crossroads of the World

Times Square in New York City may be one of the most recognizable locations on the planet, and accomodating the crowds who gather there can be a challenge. Claire Fellman and Nick Koster of the design firm Snohetta used a variety of data and several design techniques to improve the visitor experience in this iconic public space.
