BEST Chinese Almond Cookies | 杏仁酥 | Perfect for Lunar New Year

My parents used to own a Chinese restaurant, and one of the very few pastries we sold was almond cookies. When no one was looking, I would steal one and eat it. 😅 This flaky, crunchy, yet soft shortbread like cookie is one of my favorite memories of my childhood. This cookie is traditionally made with lard and only all-purpose flour. I modified my dad's recipe by replacing it with butter and adding almond flour. I hope you like my version of this traditional Chinese cookie.

小时候我们家里开的餐馆也有卖杏仁酥。当家人不留意,我就会偷吃一个😅传统的杏仁酥是用猪油做的,而且只用普通面粉,不会加入杏仁粉。我拿了我爸爸的食谱,把它改了一下。希望你喜欢。

【Ingredients:】
Almond Flour - 100g
All-Purpose Flour - 90g
Butter - 100g
Sugar - 50g
Egg - 1
Baking Powder - 2g
Baking Soda - 2g
Almond Extract - 1/2 tsp

Bake at 375F for 15-17 minutes

砂糖 - 50 克
蛋 - 1只
泡打粉 - 2克
苏打粉 - 2克
杏仁精 - 1/2 茶匙
