Improve my attitude derrière (Julie & Cathy)
Attitude is one of the trickiest positions in ballet, this is why Julie is asking Cathy for some help. Cathy starts by reminding us of the alignment of the hips in this position, at least in class work when we don’t want to compromise our efforts for the best technique for the sake of higher lines. The hard part of an attitude derriere is maintaining the turn out whilst lifting the knee up. Cathy has a very effective and simple exercise to improve just that.
