Consciously Aligned: Nurturing Environments for Stakeholder Collaboration

The business world is rife with conflict, from competing stakeholder interests to contentious contracts. The easiest way to resolve a conflict, however, is to prevent it from occurring in the first place. Collaboration and mindful planning can transform contentious issues into sustainable, healthy relationships.

As a seasoned business lawyer, Glenn Meier is a vocal ambassador of relational contracting and collaborative law and his experience across a variety of industries has given him a unique perspective on stakeholder relationships. At this virtual gathering Glenn will join Nathan Havey, Founder of Thrive Consulting Group, to discuss ways to track and maintain alignment with stakeholders, building resilience, and ensuring all parties are involved in the legal decision-making process.

Speakers:

Glenn Meier

Glenn Meier is a business lawyer who leverages decades of experience negotiating and litigating commercial disputes to help clients build sustainable collaborative relationships with their stakeholders. Glenn possesses deep experience in the emerging fields of relational contracting and collaborative law which provides him a rare perspective in advising clients who want to create win/win relationships in their business affairs. Whether it is helping clients create the contracts that form those relationships or helping them seek resolution of disagreements without litigation, Glenn is uniquely positioned to serve stakeholder-oriented companies.

Glenn regularly serves as outside general counsel to clients across various industries, guiding them through mindful planning with a focus on effective collaboration. He uses his skills and experience as a mediator and legal counselor to help business leaders clarify their thinking and operate their companies in ways that align with the law and their own guiding principles.

Glenn is active in the global Conscious Capitalism movement which celebrates the power of business to create a positive impact in the world. He is a regular presenter and author on issues concerning collaborative legal practices.

The breadth and depth of Glenn’s experience is enhanced by the responsive and steady demeanor he developed while serving as an active duty military lawyer with the U.S. Air Force. In that role, he participated in a variety of criminal trials including complex fraud cases and murder trials. His skill in the courtroom was recognized when Glenn was named to a small group of Air Force prosecutors assigned to handle serious cases across the United States.
