TOURING PERU'S BEAUTIFUL SACRED VALLEY ⛰ Traveling to Machu Picchu | Latin America Travel Series 05

Since Machu Picchu is one of the new 7 wonders of the world, we knew we had to visit it on our trip to South America, but when researching how to get to Machu Pichu we had no idea how much time it would take to travel there or how beautiful the entire Sacred Valley on the way to Machu Picchu would be.

We spent a full day flying from Cartagena to Bogota to Lima to Cusco, and then another day exploring the city of Cusco and the Sacred Valley on our way to Machu Picchu with Sun Gate Tours: https://www.sungatetours.com

We had researched what to do in the Sacred Valley, but we had no idea just how beautiful it would be (we traveled during the rainy season so that helped make it extra green)! Some of the things we think are the best things to see in the Sacred Valley are the ruins of Pisac and Moray, as well as the Maras salt mines.
