Hamza El Din (July 10, 1929 – May 22, 2006) was a Nubian Egyptian/Sudanese composer, oud player, tar player, and vocalist. El Din was born in southern Egypt and studied the music of his native Egyptian Nubia.
Hamza El Din is considered the father of modern Nubian Music.
About this song, El Din says: "After my many songwriter friends back home realized that they could not talk me out of traveling and into living with them there, they wrote a song about me. In the song, Bishir Ayaad described me as a constant traveler with my music, without an address anywhere."
