Rescuers in Thailand spent four hours extracting a 3.4-metre (11ft) king cobra coiled inside a truck’s front bumper in Phang Nga, Thailand, on February 6, 2026. The agitated snake repeatedly lunged as two wranglers worked together to drag it free. Authorities say around 7,000 people are treated for snake bites in Thailand each year, with cobras responsible for dozens of deaths annually.
