BMPCC GOES TO SPACE FUSEN UCYU PROJECT 世界初、シネマカメラでの宇宙撮影

Keisuke Iwaya succeeded in shooting the world's first Space film with a cinema camera.

On July 20th, 2014, keisuke Iwaya succeeded on launching the Cinema camera (Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera; Black Magic Design Co. ) to the space (28,450m away from earth) for the first time in the world and shooted the world's first video of the earth and the universe in stable and clear vision.

The way is shot was by using a large balloon, filled with helium gas. The Styrofoam shooting device equipped with parashuto, camera and GPS had been suspended from a balloon. After the balloon was launched, it reached the highest point at about 90min. The ballon had no longer endured to be approximately 80times bigger because of the decrease in pressure, which makes the balloon burst and fall to the earth. The balloon would release a parachute which safely lands the camera on ground.

Launching was carried out at Tokachi Plain, Hokkaido where the risk of an accident is low. The camera had been collected at the same place as well. Straight line-distance from launching to falling point was about 18km.

This project carries out according to the law of domestic through applying/notifying necessary institutions. From now on, We will trying to develop new air frame/camera to shoot more beautiful universe video shooting.

2014年7月20日にシネマカメラ（ブラックマジックデザイン社製：Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera）を世界で初めて近宇宙圏（28,450m）まで打上げ、宇宙と地球の安定かつ鮮明な映像の撮影に成功しました。
巨大に膨らむことができる風船にヘリウムガスを一定量充填し、パラシュート、カメラおよび位置情報を発信するためのGPSを搭載した発泡スチロール製の撮影装置(以下機体)をその風船から吊るし、風船を空に打ち上げることで撮影を行っています。機体は打上げ後、約90分で最高点に到達、気圧の低下により風船は体積比にしておよそ80倍に膨張して耐えきれなくなり破裂、その後落下し、パラシュートが開き安全に降下、その間の映像を撮影するという仕組みです。
打上は事故の危険性が少ない北海道十勝平野で行われ、回収もまた十勝平野で行いました。打上げ地点から落下地点までは直線距離で約18kmでした。
なお、この打上げは国内の法律を遵守し必要な機関に通達した上で行っております。
今後、さらに美しい宇宙映像撮影の為に新型機を開発し、打ち上げ、撮影を継続してまいります。
