Backend Development Journey | 💻 Django – Week 2 (Project 1)
This week, I moved deeper into backend development and built my first structured project using Django.
Instead of focusing on UI, I focused purely on understanding how backend logic actually works.
🔹 What I built:
Function-based views inside views.py
URL routing to properly map endpoints
Connected Home, About, and Contact pages through Django’s request–response cycle
Rendered templates using render() and HttpResponse
Tested and debugged the server using Django’s development environment
🎯 What I learned
How Django resolves incoming URL requests
How urls.py and views.py interact internally
How each view processes logic and returns the correct response
Why understanding backend flow is more important than copying code
This project helped me understand Django’s architecture step by step — not just follow tutorials
