--- Tutorial/Lesson/Analysis of the solo ---
My approach for this song was inspired by the guitar solo in Belief by John Mayer (Live at Austin City Limits 2007).
As for the guitar tone, I aim for the good balance between sustain and fatness, meaning not too much overdrive, and not too less either. When you put too much distortion, you get rich sustain but thinner sound. So you shouldn't put too much.
You could put the shortest stereo delay (NO feedback), to make the sound fatter too. It's sort of same as blues players like SRV, John Mayer etc use multiple amps at the same time.
I added tape echo (setting: delay time 1/4note, very little feedback and wet sound 8-10%) like you only hear the 1st round of echo but you don't hear the 2nd one.

0:07 The first phrase is very John Mayer like starting phrase.
0:12 Eric Clapton phrase. Play index finger vibrato without holding the guitar neck, and add hammering-on at the end of the phrase. John Mayer also does this trick.

0:28- It's John Mayer style 3rds double stops using pentatonic + 9th scale. You can hear John does the same thing after the guitar solo in Belief.
