Originally from Livingston, Louisiana, Laine’s interest in music goes back to when he started to play guitar at age seven.
On his website, Laine says that he was born and raised in Louisiana and always thought and dreamed in sound, rhythm, and beats.
Laine made an unexpected return to American Idol when his childhood friend Ashton Gill, auditioned for season 17 of the show.
Ashton is the sister of Laine’s best friend and Laine came along to offer support and play the guitar for her audition.
