Hey Fam, welcome back to our space on the internet.

I promise, the video I had in mind for this week wasn’t a rant or a video of me airing my frustrations, it was suppose to be a celebratory video of us hitting 10,000 amazing subscribers! But then I live in Nigeria, plans change overnight.

Woke up to a Twitter ban and licensing of OTT which includes free streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Hulu etc.

While the one implemented already is the Twitter ban, we can only hope that it ends just at Twitter. I can’t express how I feel in words , so for a lack of a better word , I’ll say sad. I feel sad. There’s this emptiness I feel. The law does not exist here, anything goes. The constitution means nothing.

I tried so hard not to talk about this but I couldn’t pull myself together to shoot any other video because my expressions will be fake. I can’t pretend to be happy in front of the camera when I’m clearly not. I’m worried about my country. Worried about us Nigerians. Maybe I’m overthinking this then maybe I’m not.

Everything starts somewhere. It’s not just about the ban but the certain feeling of helplessness that comes with being Nigeria. Because you know no one can question the Government, we always adapt to things. Even the bad ones. We make jokes- humour is our escape

But in reality, we’re not fine. Nigeria 🇳🇬 needs help.
