Technicolor Router (Thomson): Fix for "Update Error" on Custom Dynamic DNS page

This video shows how to fix the "Update Error" that can occur on the Dynamic DNS page, when trying to use a custom Dynamic DNS server on Thomson / technicolor routers (often branded as just "technicolor")

This should work on any technicolor or Thomson router. Video shows a use on a technicolor TG582n.

Steps used in the video:
------------------------------------
1. Telnet to the router IP address (normally 192.168.1.254):
telnet
o 192.168.1.254

2. Log into the router using appropriate login details (if unknown, try Username: Administrator, and no password)

3. List the current Dynamic DNS options
dyndns service list

4. Modify the custom option
dyndns service modify name=custom server=your.dnsserver.com updateinterval=7200 request=/update.php
Replace values appropriately
server - the domain name of your Dynamic DNS provider
request - the path at your Dynamic DNS provider for DNS update calls
updateinterval - number of seconds between updates from your router - default is 86000 (1 day)

5. Save changes to the router
saveall

You should now be able to target this Dynamic DNS provider (DDNS) using the custom option in the router web portal.
