Are looking for h501s advance or standard which one to buy so this is detailed and comprehensive guide which will help you to choose which one to go with so stay tuned
Many of my friends who dont own a drone yet they asking me about which version of h501s they buy whats the difference between um and many mates on facebook groups inbox me and asked me about what exactly the difference is so guys here i am
as you see they are called fpv1 and fpv2 transimitter hubsan h501s comes with these two versions standard and advance the drone is same guys only the difference is between controller with advance version you get advance controller with standard version you get standard controller so question comes down to difference between standard and advance controller so
Performance and Technicalities
technically they both are same as advance seems to be more cooler looking its seems it will do much more and it will be good its expensive but its not yes its not each and every function which this advance controller can performs standard controller also performs all the functions you name it the RTH, Follow me, GPS, long range ,FPV, every thing can be done by standard controller so
performance Wise both are same can perform same number of operations . no performance vise difference what you get on advance exactly same you can get in standard transmitter so no tension in the performance wise,, so you can buy either of 2 without thinking which one is better
Range

so talking about range with both controllers yes advance controller can give more range out of the box no doubt as you can see
advance already comes with these external antennas so no need to for mod just fly you will get better range but with the standard controller you can achieve the same range by modifying the antennas just attach external antennas
but according to my tests you can watch my range test series and i have tested different antennas with different firmware
and i found that standard controller the stock antennas are best and can give you range as advance can give
so no issues with the range also again both are same

Fpv Screen

both the controllers have good fpv screen which can show clear flv without any hassle both are good here standard controller got edge it has bigger screen so you can see more clearly while flying

but advance controller screen is small but with better resolution so again comes to your choice you wanna go with smaller or bigger screen Plus you can install any bigger screen to both of the controllers no issues but personally i dont feel spending too much on this

Power consumption
advance TX clearly requires more power and bigger battery so it consumes more power
and standard controller requires only 4 AA batteries consumes less power you can also watch my video of Simple and Easy Battery mod and can avoid the hassle of charging and changing AA batteries
Looks
Yes here advance controller can have edge it bigger cooler looking more like hobby grade feels good in hand
sticks feels good when you hold it you will say woowww that good

standard controller is not bad looking but advance has better looks and feel feels more professional
Finally my Personal thoughts and Experience
my story was when i was buying h501s as my 4th drone i did alot of research which one to buy talked to experts
watched tons of videos and blogs and talking and blah blhaaaa and i ordered advance version as it clearly looks better
and then i canceled the ordered and ordered with standard controller and in this 5 months of my experience with h501s i would say go with standard controller its cheaper and can do every thing

as advance can do , advance controller is not designed for h501s its for that big guy h109s hubsan just selling with h501s to
make customers feel special professional under $300 but its not
my experience analysis and statics shows people with advance controller had many problems out of the box,, flyaway , and much more problems with the advance
people with standard controller are more happy and most of h501s owners are with standard

so guys my personal suggestion is go for standard its cheap and you will not get problems and it is specially designed for h501s

advance is not designed for h501s its for that big guy ...

so choice is yours ...!!!
