The hymn 'Immortal, invisible, God only wise', based on 1 Timothy 1:17 and written by Walter Chalmers Smith (1824 – 1908), set to the tune ST. DENIO, originally a Welsh ballad tune, edited and arranged by John Roberts (1822 - 1877).

This hymn was sung at the Service of Thanksgiving for Her Majesty The Queen's reign, at St Paul's Cathedral on Friday 3 June 2022.
