The Soloist Shaving Soap By Zingari Man | The Daily Shave

Eric here, with another WCS Daily Shave review!

Today’s shave features a stellar collaboration between West Coast Shaving and Zingari Man in the form of The Soloist.

The scent notes featured are pink pepper, rum and tobacco. They are designed to transport you back to the days of classy jazz clubs and the atmosphere therein. The scent was inspired by and is an homage to Jazz Club by Maison Martin Margiela. Ode’s to classic and contemporary colognes seem to take on an element of sophistication and depth to which more formal occasions are called for. This fragrance pierced my nostrils in the most pleasant way imaginable and is currently in my top 3 for the 'Best Scents of 2020'!

Perhaps more surprising than the scent is the fact that is was my first experience with Zingari Man. In particular, with the esteemed Sego base. I had heard all of the legends but was slow to venture into the clutches of another premium soap base. I'm so glad I did. This soap explodes on your face immediately and delivers a rich, shave-ready lather in a matter of seconds! The tallow Sego base resolves to supply you with all of the premium metrics you'd expect with a modern shave soap base and does not falter in the slightest. From beginning to end I was nothing short of enraptured with this soap. The post shave is a slow dry down (with plenty of residual slickness to play with) and left me with that premium, satisfying feeling. Your skin feels great! That’s what you want. Which brings me to the post shave product. It’s a balm. I haven’t been traditionally been a balm enthusiast but have found myself swayed by a couple the balms I’ve experimented with as of late. This has only served to fuel my intrigue. This balm, however, stands out above its counterparts. Not only does it deliver luxurious post shave results and absorb into the skin with greasing it up, it’s tallow based!!! Can you believe it?! Not only will I be getting more Zingari Man products, but I recommend you do as well.
