Al atardecer en un día de invierno, una bandada de miles y miles de estorninos se congregan para volar en formaciones impresionantes antes de pernoctar por la noche. Este deslumbrante despliegue de comportamiento aviar se conoce como una murmuración, una palabra que describe perfectamente el susurro de miles de pares de alas. Es una de las exhibiciones más espectaculares en el mundo natural a medida que el bando cambia de forma, pareciendo un coloso de humo en un minuto, el siguiente en un tornado, el siguiente en una nube de tormenta que bloquea la luz. La danza colectiva de las aves es verdaderamente un espectáculo para la vista.
