Story: The Death Valley Germans

The story of the Death Valley Germans passed through the site of the Geologists Cabin in July of 1996 before they perished in the desert. Sadly, there was decisions to head south to the China Lake military base instead of going back to this cabin for food and shelter.
The Geologist Cabin Info:
Built by Asa Russell (Panamint Russ) in about 1930 when he originally started staking mining claims in the area. Anvil Spring is just below the cabin and still has flowing water. This is a sturdy stone cabin that has been refurbished and has a nice stone fireplace.
