Tiny Stripers During a Cold Front

Well not every day on the water can be epic. This trip was a few days after my last trip where I was catching some nice size bass. A severe cold front pushed through and dropped water temps by 10 degrees. We were still marking fish but they were very lethargic and not willing to chase down the lures. The great thing about snap jigging is that no matter the size of the fish, the hit feels the same. It doesn't matter if it's an 18" striper or a 40lber, you will never notice a difference by the strike. It's not until you set the hook and feel the rod double over that you can tell if the fish is large or small. This makes it fun to catch any size bass with this technique. Just being out on the water with good friends or family is beneficial. You can always hone your skills and learn something new even if the bite isn't red hot with large fish.
