FTL Multiverse: Stealth A, Flagship Ending

A back and forth run, so much bad luck yet so much good luck as well.

That was a terrible start indeed. In the moment itself, I didn't realise I could've cloaked before the beam fired a few times which would've saved a lot of pain.

Going back to fight the drone ship at S1 may have been asking for death, but it was either that or going to fight the S1 rebel elite at the exit immediately. Diving would almost certainly have ended the run because the rebel elite in a dive can be stronger than the rebel elite at the exit that hasn't been taken over.

I know the conservative laser purchase at 1 hull raises a lot of questions. Let me explain my thought process:
Misericorde has 14s base cooldown (which goes down to 12.6s on with zero skill manning) and has 30% chance to breach.
It takes 12s (or close to that) for a crew with 1x repair speed to repair 1 bar of system damage.
This is part of the reason Stealth A can struggle in S1: On top of not being able to hit drones and weapons on a combat drone ship reasonably quickly, it also deals only 1 system damage through a 2 shield ship, which just so happens to make an appearance at the exit in the form of the S1 rebel elite.
Since 12.6s is longer than 12s, unless Misericorde causes a breach in the rebel elite's weapons, the soldier there will repair it before Misericorde can stack another damage to weapons. (Technically Misericorde can barely stack on the first volley since the soldier in engines has to run to weapons to fix it, but keep in mind this 12.6s cooldown is dependent upon my weapons manning not being interrupted by the boarder or having to use crew to man doors)
So that means whatever 2 power gun the S1 rebel elite had would be perpetually online (unless I can get a breach, but I didn't really fancy my odds after that spetum incident). The 2 power guns the S1 rebel elite can have are: Burst 1, Burst 2, Heavy 2, Hull 1, Hull 2, Artemis, Pegasus, Pike Beam, Chain Laser, Charge 1, Flak 2, Laser Chainger, and Adaptive Laser.
Any chain laser, heavy laser, hull laser, adaptive laser, beam, or flak would've ended my run there and then even if I had repaired up to 20 hull. Misericorde dealing 1 hull damage every 12.6s (assuming weapons are manned) is a long time to kill the rebel elite, even if my weapons never got hit. (I was justified because the rebel elite spawned with a pike beam which would've been the death of me for sure)
This is where I say I got exceedingly lucky that a Conservative Laser appeared in the shop. With 60 scrap only, I basically had to hope for a Tyche, Conservative Bomb, or Conservative Laser to allow me to take down all 3 bars of weapons at once.

So after that thought process, I took the gamble and boy did it pay off. Conservative Laser not missing at all saved me, and the rebel elite dropped a repair burst which was huge. In hindsight, I should've sold Stealth Weapons for repairs. As much as it pains me to do so, there's no point in holding onto it if I'm about to lose, and having stealth weapons with high level cloaking is a little overkill even for the later parts of the run.

15:00 I would've LOVED to get a slave, but that would increase my general notoriety to 2. Given that I was planning to fleet dive to avoid La Roache, if the game rolled another Union sector in S3, then I would very likely have to fight a guard right after a fleet dive because the choice was between a Union sector or a random hostile sector.

22:30 Huge mistake on my part for using Fire Starter against a ship with an Extinguisher drone. I honestly have no idea why I didn't swap to Misericorde which would've made the fight so much easier. Getting ioned in weapons twice and getting boarded in weapons with a boosted battle drone II didn't help after my initial blunder of using Fire Starter.

Definitely a risky move in getting 4th weapon power instead of shields up, and it cost me the Separatist one jump after I got them.

I am absolutely not fighting that ancient drone without shields lmao

Pre-emptive missiles was another huge pickup that carried my offense for many sectors to come.

There are only 2 Zoltan stores with a ship detected at them, and since I found the first I knew the second was the inspection. I upgraded doors in anticipation of that, and lo and behold I rolled the 33% chance of the Zoltan finding a fugitive in my crew. I really hate Zoltans sometimes.

49:30 I actually meant to ignore the crates and head into the store but I misclicked and got a fight, oops.

Annnnnd then I forgot I took a loan. Yikes. I just paid off the loan because I highly doubted that my crew could handle his boarding and MC, even if my weapons might've been able to do something.

1:16:10 I shouldn't have MCed the Leech once they were on my ship. In hindsight, I probably should've sent the missile into teleporter to prevent them from boarding and MC the separatist to nano them and prevent them from fixing teleporter for a long time.

And I've hit the character limit. Nice.
