Can the US and Iran Actually Make a Deal? | Maraz TV News

For the first time since 1979, the United States and Iran held direct, high-level face-to-face talks in Islamabad — a historic moment aimed at preventing further escalation. But after 21 hours of intense negotiations, both sides walked away without a breakthrough.

The discussions were dominated by major disagreements, including Iran’s demands for control over the Strait of Hormuz, war reparations, and access to frozen assets. At the same time, the US maintained its firm stance on Iran giving up all nuclear capabilities. Despite reports of a generally positive tone, the talks ultimately ended in a stalemate.

With military activity continuing in the region and tensions still high, negotiations are expected to resume — but with both sides standing firm, the path to a lasting agreement remains uncertain.
