The cat and dog live together.

他们没有钱。
Tāmen méiyǒu qián.
They have no money.

狗说：“我们要工作。”
Gǒu shuō: “Wǒmen yào gōngzuò.”
The dog says, “We need to work.”

猫问：“做什么工作？”
Māo wèn: “Zuò shénme gōngzuò?”
The cat asks, “What kind of work?”

狗说：“我们可以卖东西。”
Gǒu shuō: “Wǒmen kěyǐ mài dōngxi.”
The dog says, “We can sell things.”

猫问：“这个多少钱？”
Māo wèn: “Zhège duōshao qián?”
The cat asks, “How much is this?”

狗说：“三十块钱。”
Gǒu shuō: “Sānshí kuài qián.”
The dog says, “Thirty yuan.”

猫说：“太多了！”
Māo shuō: “Tài duō le!”
