Cyrano: Erica Schmidt "I Hope People Throw Away Their Inhibitions & Fears & Believe In Themselves"

First Erica Schmidt adapted Cyrano for the stage and then Joe Wright asked her to do it again for the big screen.

Cyrano tells the story of Cyrano de Bergerac (Peter Dinklage). A man too self-conscious to woo Roxanne himself, so he helps young Christian nab her heart through love letters.

Erica shares what the most challenging part of adapting the play was for her; what is was like working with her husband (Peter Dinklage); and what she hopes audiences walk away feeling after they've seen the film.

Cyrano is in Irish cinemas from Friday 25th February.
