Davy's home here in Pennsylvania has many friends stopping by paying respects. Just won't be the same but I'm sure he's found there is... eternal life. God has blessed Davy Jones. Here is a news story from WNEP TV 16's web site: Fans and friends of singer Davy Jones continue to mourn his death. Some have left flowers outside his home in Snyder County.

Jones had big plans before he died to turn a church in Beavertown into a museum. Newswatch 16 spoke to some people who said they would like to see that project finished.

Three bouquets of flowers were put outside Davy Jones' house in Beavertown. Davy's former neighbors said people have come to pay respects. One of those neighbors, Carol Wickard, is in disbelief.

"I talked to him on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday this week. He was fine and said he was going to go ride his horses," said Carol Wickard of Beavertown.

The former lead singer for "The Monkees" died of a heart attack on Wednesday. He lived part time in Beavertown. Wickard said she looked after his house while he was out of town. She told Newswatch 16 about the church Jones bought in Beavertown. She said Jones wanted to turn it into a theater and museum of Monkees memorabilia.

"That was going to be his summer project this year. Getting that up and going," said Wickard.

Rhonda Fisher of Beaver Springs was outside the church to see what the man she calls her teen idol was doing with the building.

"Just to snap a few pictures and I'm going to his house out of respect and I will put out some flowers," said Rhonda Fisher of Beaver Springs.

Beavertowns's mayor said he is not sure what will happen to Jones' plans for the church, but some people in Beavertown said they hope the project continues.

"He was always willing to help everyone else. I hope as a community we can pull together and fulfill his dream," said Fisher.

"It's going to take a while, but I hope they fulfill his dream of getting it done. I really do," said Wickard.

There is no word on services for Davy Jones, but the mayor of Beavertown said borough council plans on dedicating property to Jones as well as doing a proclamation and doing something special to honor him in Beavertown.

As for this video footage; I just steadied the footage as best possible and added titles. Just wanted to make it right for him.
