Campervan conversion 1 - sound insulation

Hello my name is Pavel and this is my camper van conversion. I bought Opel Movano 2005 and pull everything out. Cleaned whole car with water pressure and then all walls with break cleaner. This video is about first step which is noise canceling material installation.

1. make sure all surfaces are clean, with no grease or any oil.

2. Use Acetone or break cleaner in can and clean everything twice.

3. I used noise killing material from czech company Vestin.cz It is 3mm thick material with Aluminium on one side and self adhesive on the other side. They selling it as AMS Tecsound for order use AMS3 + sam +Al in total size is 120cm in roll and 6m length.

4. After cleaning all wall cut rough size of AMS and check if it will fit on the surface you picked. Then peal only one corner of the AMS no more then 20% and apply on the wall. Then keep pealing plastic cover off and use heating gun to make AMS softer and more sticky.

5. when AMS is on the wall all the way keep heating it up to make it NOT hot but warm and use wood roller to push it against the wall.

6. Try to keep some gap between AMS and edges of the car to prevent water condensation in corner and rust in the future. you can see in on video.

7. If your wall is not flash or plank and you would have a problem with different high of surface use first smaller slices of AMS to fill up gaps and make the wall or floor more straight. Then apply another coat of AMS.
