Checkboxes are different from radio buttons because they allow more than one selection at the same time. They are commonly used for features like newsletter subscriptions, accepting terms and conditions, choosing interests, or filtering products.

In this beginner-friendly tutorial, I explain the checked attribute, which lets you select a checkbox by default when the page loads. This is very useful when you want an option like “Subscribe” or “Remember me” to be pre-selected for users.
