Vintage Japanese Zenta late 60's/early 70's Telecaster, Teisco.

Made by the Sakai Mokko/Kawai factories in the late 60's to early 70's

Zenta appeared to be a rebrand of OEM guitars, which ended up in shops like Woolworths, Walmart & In catalogues such as sears & roebuck. These guitars have become collectable due to their cool, vintage looks as well as their unique sounding pickups.

Most of the guitars from Japan in that era follow the same general build type. Plywood bodies, meranti necks, the utilisation of a zero fret. Most of the hardware tends to be unusual & unique, such as the mustang style trems, the rollers bridges and the string retaining bars.

This guitar received a full refret, rewire, new tuners & a hand-welded trem bar installed.
