The basic/standard setup of the rope access harness is common between all levels of competency, whether a level 1, 2 or 3 things don't change much. It is often influenced by where you have been trained and who is your mentor/level 3.

I teach and lead toward a figure of 8 on the outside lanyards and barrel knot on the centre one, but accept variations as its quite personal.

At Applus we select our equipment using a risk assessment based process and only use items that fulfil our needs.

Here we show the basic/standard setup for each technician, this is easily upscaled to suit the experience of the user.
