Steam singer/songwriter Gary DeCarlo, who co-wrote and sang lead on the band’s enduring 1969 #1 hit “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye,” died following a battle with lung cancer. He was 75. This recording is from GARY DECARLO & STEAM's 2016 album "NOW AND THEN". Gary DeCarlo is the singer/songwriter who sang and co-wrote the song "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye"- a #1 hit in 1969. Gary's hit song "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" knocked The Beatles' "Something"/"Come Together" out of the No. 1 spot on December 6, 1969.
