I am the Living Bread

Jesus said, 'Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.' 🤯 What does that mean—and why did it offend so many?

In John 6:41-59, Jesus declares: 'I am the Living Bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever.' The crowd is shocked and asks, 'Isn’t this Jesus, the son of Joseph? How can He say He came down from heaven?'

But Jesus doesn’t back down. He says: 'Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.'

This isn’t about literal eating—it’s about total dependence on Jesus. He’s offering Himself as the ultimate sustenance, pointing ahead to His sacrifice on the cross and our participation in Him through Communion.

Jesus isn’t just teaching belief—He’s inviting us into a relationship where He becomes the source of eternal life.
