Machining a Non-throated Bronze Worm Gear on a Mill

Machining a non-throated bronze worm gear utilizing a manual mill. This worm gear is for a threading dial on a Rahn Larmon ‘AA’’ Series engine lathe. No dividing head, hob, or involute cutting wheel used. A $10 saw blade and 50 cent bracket was the dividing head. A single cutting bit was shaped to spec for gashing. Finished with hand files old fashioned apocalyptic style.
