Billy the Kid tintype? A possible new photo.

This video compares the famous Dedrick-Upham tintype of Billy the Kid with a subject in a tintype in my collection. I purchased the tintype in 2012 because I thought the subject with the sweater was interesting and vaguely resembled Billy the Kid, since he was wearing a sweater over a vest, a bandanna, a black hat, and his pants tucked in his boots. The sweater is a virtual match to that of the Dedrick-Upham tintype; I have never seen another one like it in any other tintype image. The shape of the ears concerned me, but detailed study of a high definition scan of the Dedrick-Upham tintype, a period carte de visite copied from another version of that tintype (four were made at the same time; only one survives), and my tintype revealed that the ears are actually a close match, considering the marked difference in head angle and position. The "pointed" aspect of the apparent earlobes in some versions of the Dedrick-Upham tintype is due to an artefact (development blur, scratch or stain), as confirmed by the rounded ear clearly shown in the CDV made from a "clean" tintype. The video includes a basic 3D adjustment of the subject's face to a frontal angle, using the online service of Animetrics. (Naturally there is some distortion using such a bare-bones, do-it-yourself technique.) According to Maureen Taylor ("The Photo Detective"), who examined my tintype at my request, everything -- clothing and facial features -- looks "right" for a circa 1880 image of Billy the Kid and further forensic or biometric analysis is warranted. But who knows? It's a shot in the dark -- like the one that got "The Kid."
*** UPDATE: 2/22/2019 *** I am preparing a better video, using images from the Animetrics analysis I commissioned, along with more recent images developed from the University of Nottingham's free 2D to 3D program. The new video also uses enlargements from the HD gif of the Dedrick-Upham tintype to compare the ears. Again, I cannot claim that my tintype shows Billy the Kid. I believe I can legitimately claim that it POSSIBLY MIGHT BE him.
