SHEEP FOR HOMESTEADING? [why I like Dorpers]

As someone new to homesteading I can tell you that my favorite part of homesteading is the animals, especially sheep.

I have a small flock of registered Dorper sheep and I believe that they are excellent sheep for beginner homesteaders.

Dorper are every hardy sheep showing great resilience for parasites as well as virtually all elements. These sheep are also excellent foragers, eating pretty much anything green. This has been really useful for since I recently had some trees taken down and my sheep cleaned up the fresh green leaves in days.

Dorper sheep are also famous for being able to on more muscle (and meat) in even less than ideal situations.
