Arturo Sandoval plays Harrelson hybrid horn

Instead of a flugel, Arturo Sandoval is playing a custom Harrelson instrument. visibly more compact than a standard trumpet, the bell is also obviously thicker than a standard trumpet. The mouthpiece appeared quite deep. It has a beautiful, full sound that was wam and very pleasant. This video from Brass Day at the Univ of Dayton 1 MAR 2014
