# 1.advantage of sand substrates:- Though it is finely graded so the fish feces and debris can't get under the sand so it's easy to clean, 2.disadvantages:- you can't grow more live plants because sand has no nutrients and it make toxic gas airpockets so pls always replace the sand from one part to another part of your tank. , 3. how to clean:-,never use syphone pipe hardly to the sand substrate cause it will suck all sand and there gonna be a huge sand loss. Gently use the syphone pipe and clean water every week. ,, 4.
