Dover Priory - London St. Pancras on board of a Southeastern railway class 395 high speed train

The HS1 (High Speed 1) is the first real high speed line within Great Britain (other lines are upgraded high speed railway lines, this line is a dedicated high speed railway line), this line has primarily been build to serve Eurostar trains from London to the channel tunnel, where these trains will go into France (and via France to Belgium & The Netherlands). However, on this high speed railway line, you will also find domestic trains, operated by Southeastern railway. Even though the speed isn't much faster than some other domestic high speed trains within Great Britain, that will use upgraded railway lines, they are with a top speed of 225 km/h slightly faster. This isn't as fast as most high speed trains in most European countries, however the distance for this route isn't that big either.
