‘Scrap the BOST Margin’ - Senyo Hosi Calls for Policy Change

Finance and economic policy analyst Senyo Hosi has called for the scrapping of the BOST margin, arguing that current government policy has given the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST) monopolistic advantages within the fuel pricing structure.

According to him, reducing or removing the margin would not cripple the institution, but could instead promote fairer pricing and efficiency in the downstream petroleum sector.

His comments add to the ongoing debate about fuel pricing, market competition, and regulatory balance in Ghana’s energy space.
