In the year 2000 Aftermath Entertainment was taking over hip hop. Eminem released the Marshall Mathers LP. It debuted at number one on the billboard 200 and sold 1.78 million copies in the first week, making it one of the fastest selling albums of all time. At the time, Dre would mostly work with and sign rappers. Aftermath’s roster was filled with amazing lyrical Emcees however eventually there came a time when dr Dre decided to diversify the talent on the label. In that same year, Truth Hurts got signed to aftermath.
