Drawing a Sycamore Leaf

Botanical illustration in pencil of a Sycamore leaf in autumn, Acer pseudoplatanus. Lizzie explains her process as she looks at the leaf and draws it in pencil onto the page, showing how to use guide shapes and how the veins and details can help you position yourself in your drawing. She also talks a bit about the Sycamore tree and explains why getting details right in botanical illustration matters.
