Preserving Woodgrain Decals [AMC Eagle Project]

So in this video I show you how I attempt to preserve the original wood grain decals on the side of my AMC Eagle.

I bought this old AMC Eagle station wagon about 5 months ago and it sits outside a lot. I want to do what I can to help preserve and protect the original woodgrain side decals as they have already degraded and flaked some.

I have used the 303 aerospace protectant for many years to protect vinyl & rubber surfaces such as tire sidewalls, tonneau covers, etc. Well I realized that this decal is probably made out of vinyl so it should be protected from the sun's UV rays damaging the woodgrain decals.
