Building a Simple Cable Gate for a Property Entrance

Today I’m cleaning up the entrance to our property and installing a simple cable gate. The entrance had become overgrown, so I started by clearing limbs and widening the area with the tractor before installing the gate posts and hardware.

This style of cable gate is a simple and effective way to define a property entrance without installing a full metal gate. The setup is inexpensive, durable, and easy to drive over when opened.
