Closed-ended questions are boring in dating and D&D #datingadvice #single #nerdlife

Closed-ended questions don't give you much space to choose your own adventure. They might work for video game RPGs, but you ideally want more freedom with TTRPGs. That's how you create an engaging story.

"It starts with a simple question, which leads to the next, and the next … if it’s not working, you disengage." (Flirtology, by Jean Smith)

It's no different when dating. If you want the other person to be engaged, to get to know them, and to find common interests, keep your questions open-ended. Don't close the door on all the possible ways your interaction could've gone.

"If you ask questions that are like no other, you get results that are unlike any that the world has seen." (Never Eat Alone, by Keith Ferrazzi and Tahl Raz)
