Marching band #exercise 8s back - corps style #marchingband

Working on: transition to different direction, evenness of tone while on the move, heal over toe step(roll) while going forward and elevation of the heel when going backwards, even step size going each direction, placement of the instrument throughout but with particular attention to slides.
Exercise is frequently referred to as the 8 count box. Always use a metronome. Work on a solid “brick “ of sound. Work the playing separately from the motion. Then work the motion separately from the playing. Put them together only when you have confidence in each separately.
