The Wild Father: Photographing Brown Hares. 5 days of learning in the field.

Brown Hares. The half kangaroo, half rabbit of the woodland edge and field. I have a load of them living in the fields opposite me, so being in lockdown, I decided to make them a project to satiate my wildlife photography compulsion, but being wildlife, they never really act as you'd expect. With this in mind, I spent a bit of time trying to get to know them. As ever, the information that I'd read on them was part true, but all the reading in the world wasn't going to get me close enough for the shot I wanted. Wildlife photography just doesn't work like that, in my experience. Here's how I got on.
